Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS)
Functioning as a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Physiotherapist at HHHS is responsible for managing the physiotherapy aspects of the patient’s care. Upon referral from a physician, the physiotherapist reviews the patient’s history, assessess the patient, plans the treatment and oversees implementation. Ongoing changes and/or progressions in treatment are made based on assessments by the phsyiotherapist, and in consultation with the patient’s physician and/or appropriate family members, students, and other health care workers. At HHHS, the Physiotherapists are graduates of a recognized University with a degree/diploma in Physiotherapy and registered with the Board of Directors of Physiotherapy to practice in Ontario. This may be complimented by a working knowledge of rehabilitation, orthopaedics, neurology, and/or sports medicine, and membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
